Museum Store Sunday Awarded with an ICON HONOR
The Museum Store Association, sponsor of Museum Store Sunday has been awarded the prestigious ICON HONORS in the 2018 Branding Category for the brand development and launch of Museum Store Sunday.
The ICON HONORS is produced by AmericasMart in partnership with the Gift & Home Trade Association, Progressive Business Media and Gift for Life. They are conferred annually in July in conjunction with The Atlanta International Gift & Home Furnishings Market. From its founding, ICON HONORS has championed the role of independent business in the global economy.
Honorees are selected through extensive adjudication by highly qualified experts drawn from the fields of design, manufacturing and product development. “It is truly an honor to accept this award on behalf of the association,” remarks MSA Board President Ione Saroyan, of the New-York Historical Society. “The launch of our Museum Store Sunday brand was a significant achievement and directly contributed to the success of the endeavor. It was exciting to see the brand proudly displayed in so many museum stores throughout the country and internationally as well.” Cristina Vásquez, of Barboletta, developed the brand’s impactful visual identity.
Set at AmericasMart LIVE in downtown Atlanta, ICON HONORS featured networking, cocktails, a buffet dinner, the HONORS presentation and an exclusive presentation by Arianna Huffington, founder of The Huffington Post and founder and CEO of Thrive Global. Nick Valencia, of CNN, served as host and master of ceremonies.
HONORS were conferred upon those in the industry attempting truly extraordinary initiatives in pursuit of their dreams—those who achieve success through ingenuity, integrity, creativity, energy and hard work. Retailers, manufacturers, sales agencies and service providers all were eligible to pursue ICON HONORS recognition in a broad field of 16 distinct categories of competition.
